Mothers Day
Hey all! Mother's Day is upon us and if you're at all like me, you've procrastinated and are now stressing what to get "momma." Here are some ideas and tips
Jewelry (that doesn't have to break the bank)
You can find this line here. Prices range from $30-$300. For the Chef
You can find these products and more fun kitchen items here. My wonderful friend Sarah Birchfield is a consultant; if you need help finding anything, she is more than helpful.
For the Active Mom
LuLu will treat your momma right. It's the MAC of athletic clothing: if you think the item should have or do something, it probably does. Get (or keep) mom off the couch here.Tips
- Flowers die and don't take a lot of thought (I'm not a romantic) and moms love things that are home made. Try making her a cookbook if she likes to cook; a book of workouts if she likes to stay fit; or paint a mug from somewhere like As You Wish.
- Instead of a massage take your mom to high tea. Most upscale hotels offer this and it's usually around the same price as buying a day at the spa. Plus you get to spend more quality time with mom.
- Even if you see her, call her and get her a card. Cards last and usually make her cry and when you call her after you spent the day with her, it makes the quality time spent seem a little less mandatory.
